In Brief: More Housing Woes

In September, the Sandpiper reported on the City’s latest action on the proposed Seaside Ridge development. Now, the California Attorney General has sent a letter to the City calling the City’s position “untenable,” stating that it “suggests a continuous effort to avoid adjudication of the applicability of the Builder’s Remedy. Such conduct, if ongoing, may implicate potential penalties pursuant to AB 712 (Wicks), which will take effect on January 1, 2026.” Read the AG’s letter here.
