DMF: All Together Now

The Del Mar Community Picnic was once again graced with beautiful weather, engaging music, food & drink, and fun-loving people on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Powerhouse Park. This annual event, sponsored by the Foundation, brings together our community with many of the non-profit organizations and volunteers that contribute so positively to our betterment.
On hand were youth activities, including face painting, lawn games, and a soap-bubble maker with huge bubbles that the youngest would chase and run through! Prairie Sky, a local bluegrass band, provided 2 sets of favorites for listeners during the afternoon. Sandwiches (160 of them!) were donated by Board & Brew. Craft beer from Viewpoint Brewery kept the beer garden hopping. Jake’s provided lemonade. Finally, a long-time favorite returned, home-made lemon cake provided by volunteer bakers at Del Mar Community Connections. Middle and high school students representing Teen Volunteers in Action were fantastic aids with the children’s games and other activities.
Del Mar is fortunate to have so many non-profit organizations and alliances that service many needs of our community. Present at the Community Picnic were the following: Del Mar Lifeguards and Safety Services, Del Mar Historical Society, Del Mar Garden Club, City of Del Mar Sustainability Advisory Committee, Del Mar Community Connections, Rotary Club of Del Mar-Solana Beach, The Red Nose Run, Del Mar Women’s Giving Collective, Del Mar Village Association, The Sandpiper, and Del Mar Library.
One of the pillars of the Foundation’s mission is to promote civic pride & cohesiveness. The Community Picnic was a great example of this. Together we are stronger!
