Newly opened Saffron and Rose Ice Cream offers refreshing Persian ice cream in a variety of flavors. In addition to their namesake ice creams, saffron and two types of rose, there are the basics, chocolate and vanilla, plus exotic Middle Eastern tastes such as taro, pomegranate, date. Ingredients are sourced from around the world and orchid root adds the unique dense texture. Choose cups, waffle cones, pints and/or quarts. First opened in Los Angeles in 1974, Saffron and Rose expanded south to Irvine and now to Del Mar. 207 15 Street.
