DMF: Non-Profit Roundtable

In mid-November, the Del Mar library was host to an energy-filled event.  Eleven non-profit organizations in Del Mar met to exchange activities performed over the last year, as well as thoughts for the future.  Besides the Del Mar Foundation, others attending included DM Community Connections, Friends of DM Library, DM Historical Society, Diabetes Research Connection, DM Village Association, Rotary Club of DM, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, The Winston School, Boys & Girls of Northwest San Diego, and The Red Nose Run.  DM City Councilmember Terry Gaasterland and Asst. City Manager Clem Brown were also present.

Much has been done by these organizations in the last year.  Notably, the Foundation has provided grants to four of these worthy organizations in the last two years to continue their incredible efforts to benefit our Del Mar community.  The roundtable discussion promoted opportunities for several of the organizations to connect for possible future projects.  It was heartening to see so many groups working to benefit our small community!  When working together, truly, 1 +1 can equal 3!
