DMF: July 4th Parade

Del Mar shows its true small-town character on the 4th of July, when kids on creatively-decorated bikes and scooters join parents, grandparents, neighbors, Junior Lifeguards, “dressed-up” dogs, Council members and Uncle Sam to parade through town, with the fire truck leading the way.
Join us at Powerhouse Park at 9am for the homespun festivities! Join or watch the colorful parade, enjoy some songs and a holiday cookie, plus lemonade donated by Jake’s.
And don’t miss the Summer Twilight Concerts! Added since our announcement in last month’s column: The Microblades, an all-female rock trio who won “Best Pop Song” at the recent San Diego Music Awards, will be the opening act on June 25th.
