Editorial Board Salutes Ginny Lawrence

The Sandpiper Editorial Board salutes outgoing Editorial Board member Virginia (Ginny) Lawrence for more than 16 years of sustained creative contributions to the Sandpiper. Ginny created the Sandpiper’s first website, which was launched on February 27, 2008, and has been responsible for the design and layout of the print edition of the Sandpaper beginning with the November 2008 issue, and ending with the February 2024 issue. In total, Ginny created 154 print issues of the Sandpiper – a remarkable contribution to Del Mar journalism and the historical record of our community and civic life.
