It’s back and better! First opened in Del Mar October 2020, WestBrew owners Heather and Josh Schrer— partnering with Del Mar Plaza developers Ivan Gayler and David Winkler— took a break to last January to remove the standing structure and rebuild a sparkling new one. WestBrew reopened July 3 serving its own craft beer and California upscale casual food joining the downtown and Vista locations. The restaurant was reimagined with window walls that open plus landscaping and building features originated by noted ceramic and landscape artist Betsy Schulz. Schultz, working with David Mario who managed the concrete, created flooring studded with seashells and sea glass plus subtle detailing inside and out. 1435 Camino Del Mar. WestBrew.com.
