Summer Twilight Concerts are just around the corner, and it’s a great way to hang with family and neighbors – enjoying the music, dancing, picnicking, and taking in a signature sunset over the ocean. This year’s series includes a fourth concert, featuring The Walrus, a New Orleans Beatles Tribute band.
This is DMF’s longest-running program, debuting on July 11, 1983 with a performance by folk legend Sam Hinton, with six concerts that summer — in Seagrove Park, because Powerhouse Park did not yet exist.
This year’s schedule:
June 20
Electric Waste Band (A Tribute to the Grateful Dead)
Opening act: Sweet Juanita
July 18
Mighty Untouchables
Opening act: 5 O’Clock Shadow
August 1
Sara Petite
Opening Act: Jack Tempchin
August 22
The Walrus (A Tribute to the Beatles)
Opening Act: Tim Wray of Fat Paw
And there is still time to subscribe to the 2023-2024 First Thursdays series, which will present 10 terrific, diverse performances from September 2023 through June 2024. More info: delmarfoundation.org/programs/ftsubscription
