Champagne and Chocolate Wrap-up
The Champagne and Chocolate Community Celebration held on Friday February 10 was a sweet return to a DMCC favorite that has been on hold since the beginning of the Covid pandemic. An open house-style event that is held at DMCC’s headquarters, the Del Mar Community Building, attendees enjoyed chocolate and bubbly while basking in gorgeous weather. As the guests circulated, greeting longtime neighbors and meeting new friends, they also had the opportunity to get screened for heart disease by San Diego County staff and volunteers. Did you miss this year’s event? It is planned each year to occur on or around Valentine’s Day. Volunteer of the Month – February
DMCC’s Volunteer of the Month for February 2023 was Kristen King. Kristen was nominated by Transportation Committee Chair Marilyn Carpenter for being a volunteer driver with a very positive attitude who takes more than her share of driving appointments, including last minute requests.
