Design work for the traffic light to be installed at Del Mar Heights Road and Mercado Drive is expected to be completed by the end of this calendar year. Construction activities are projected to begin after Labor Day 2023. This project also includes the installation of solar-powered flashing beacons with signal-ahead warning signs at the crest peak between Mercado Drive and Mango Drive (near the intersection at Boquita Drive) to better warn drivers of the upcoming traffic signals at the bottom of the crest.
