ALERT

NEEDED: YOUR VOICES, YOUR IDEAS, YOUR CONCERNS
The Critical issue of parking will be on Council agenda Monday night 3/5. See excerpt from workshop agenda below:

To maintain a reasonable parking supply in relationship to demand and to protect the adjacent residential areas from overflow parking, improvements to the parking supply and parking management will be necessary with or without increased development in the Village. As a result, the Specific Plan is considering several recommendations including:

• Adopting a "park-once" strategy - a strategy which de-couples the private parking from the parcels, creates publicly accessible parking where users are encouraged to park regardless of destination and promotes walking between establishments;
• Adopting parking standards tailored to Del Mar's parking utilization and park-once strategy;
• Encouraging public parking facilities (structures and surface lots); and
• Reconfiguring Camino del Mar to two lanes with angle parking and roundabouts to increase on-street public parking (increase of 50-58 stalls).

DON'T WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE--Learn what is being planned and let City Hall know what you think.

Come and be part of shaping your town's downtown for the future.
