Two
down and two to
go and this isn't
about the races.
We're talking
music. We are
half way through
the Summer Twilight
Concert season
at Powerhouse
Park . No green
flashes to report
yet, but good
music for sure.
The series opened
with Atomic Groove
in June; what
a dance band they
are; they had
many of you up
front and moving
to their tunes.
And then in July
we had Midnight
Ramblers and their
tribute to the
Rolling Stones;
the park was full
and Del Martian
Bob Hughes and
group had all
in a major dance
mode.
Any
of you who
rocked with
the sounds of
Crosby , Stills,
Nash and Young
will want to
be at the park
on August 19,
at 7 pm. This
will bring Cactus
Twang and Whyte,
with Grano and
Nash and special
guest Eve Selis
presenting Back
to the Garden,
a CSN&Y
retrospective.
They have
performed at
Anthology and
delivered
a great rendition.
On September
21, at 5 pm,
we will welcome
Soul Seduction,
another great
local dance
band that will
rev us up to
close out summer.
For
25 years the Del
Mar Foundation
has presented
the Summer Twilight
Concert series;
this year with
support of the
County of San
Diego, Office
of Supervisor
Pam Slater-Price,
the Del Mar Thoroughbred
Club and local
eateries including
El Pollo Loco,
Poseidon on the
Beach, Epazote
Oceanview Steakhouse
and Pacifica Del
Mar . We say thanks
and please give
them your support.
It's
always good to
see the locals.
Come early with
your family and
friends, your
picnic gear and
grab a good spot
to see and hear
our next two concerts.
Wine and beer
are OK in the
park at these
events only. Please
be responsible.
It has been great
to see everyone
have a good evening
at Powerhouse
Park this summer.
Let the music
play on.

in training.
