your beach
blankets and
chairs, and
pack your picnic
baskets. The Summer
Twilight Concert
Series, sponsored
by the Del Mar
Foundation, begins
on June 17, 7pm,
at Powerhouse
Park with Atomic
Groove .
Following will
be local favorite Midnight
Ramblers with
a Rolling Stone
Tribute appearing
July 15, starting
at 7pm.
Our
third concert
will bring Cactus
Twang & Whyte ,
with Grano and
Nash and special
guest Eve Selis
on August 19 at
7pm. In September,
the final concert
will be on Sunday,
the 21st, featuring Soul
Seduction with
more great dance
music. They take
the stage at 5pm.
This
year the concerts
are underwritten
by the County
of San Diego -
Office of Supervisor
Pam Slater-Price,
the Del Mar Thoroughbred
Club, El Pollo
Loco, the Poseidon
Restaurant, Epazote
Steakhouse and
Pacifica Del Mar.
We thank you all!
So
gather your friends
and neighbors
and join us at
Powerhouse Park
for some great
music and beautiful
sunsets. As all
locals know, you
will want arrive
early to get your
favorite space
on the grass.
Please support
our many fine
local food establishments.
And
as always please
bring a few
dollars to help
defray the concert
costs; there
will be an opportunity
drawing and
concert t-shirts
will be available.
Parking is
always in short
supply… consider
an early walk
to the park.
And remember:
Tents, umbrellas,
BBQ's, fires
and smoking
are not allowed.
Additionally,
dogs, even
on a leash,
are discouraged
due to the
confined space
and heavy traffic.
