Arts Alive Again in Plaza

After a several month hiatus, the Del Mar Art Center (DMAC) will hold its grand reopening reception with music and refreshments on Sunday, May 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Del Mar Plaza. The public is invited to attend.

Obama with A Few grassroots Volunteers in Orange County

Del Mar residents, Tom and Claire McGreal, were unexpectedly invited to attend an Orange County Town Hall meeting with President Obama on March 18th. They were unaware that the President planned to privately meet with them and a number of other grassroots volunteers prior to the meeting. The couple had been involved in several years of volunteer work promoting his candidacy and felt as though “they had just won the lottery.”

 
     

John Dempsey: A Memoir

From this office/nest, nameplate on the door reading “Car 2 nst,” Dempsey created the drawings that made him world famous. This is the last of four spaces he occupied upstairs in the Stratford Square building over a period of 32 years. A Whale of a Job

the Department has gone to great efforts to ensure that its employees are cross-trained. Lifeguards are trained for swift water rescue, underwater rescue and recovery, and even helicopter-assisted rescue.
